You already KNOW not to trust anyone connected with VA. Oftentimes, this INCLUDES the outside medical examination contractors hired and PAID by VA.

We’ve encountered more than one instance where an exam was performed incorrectly or factual information critical to a Veterans health was either omited or input into the record “incorrectly”.

This causes a great deal of stress on our Veteran and requires we undertake the task of correcting the record. Do you know what that entails?

It’s more work on us which we don’t want.

So…TAKE. A. WITNESS.

INSIST.

If you do not have one, RECORD THE EXAM.

If your witness is denied entry with you, IMMEDIATELY, WHILE YOU ARE SITTING IN THEIR OFFICE, CALL 800.827.1000 and request to speak with the patient advocate liason to file a formal complaint.
