About SOS

Our Story, Is Your Story

1989.

John Gustav Baglivi, brother of our founder separates from active duty from the United States Navy.

Although several injuries occurred while serving, the mantra, “You can’t make rank in sick bay”, was the norm.

Civilian life presented its challenges with the residuals of his injuries and until several conversations with his brother regarding available (disability) benefits, he was completely unaware of their existence. Not until late 2022 did he decide to actively pursue these benefits and is on his way to joining the elite rank of membership to the “100% club”.

In spite of numerous personal tragedies he’s endured, he continues to be an amazing widowed father to a son and his familial giving attitude serves as a lesson to us all.

Empowered by the existence of SOS Veterans Assistance and its owners expertise in managing the process of successful business, his prospects for receiving compensation for his service-connected injuries appears bright.

Now a powerhouse facilities manager at West Point Military Academy, he encounters the ranks of officers and cadets on a daily basis and shares the comradery of the military life.

His encouragement in assisting his military brothers and sisters prompted him to become a certified Veterans Benefits advocate and SOS is proud to have him as a part of the SOS family.

“Once I was made aware of the benefits each of us has available, I
decided to become involved with SOS. I was mistaken thinking I was
taking something away from one of my buddies.

When I found out the actual amount of money waiting for each of us
on a yearly basis, I quickly jumped in to help myself and learn how to
    help others.”
