What to do when your previously submitted claim is DENIED.
We’ve implemented a new and streamlined strategy to move this process along.
Instead of waiting extended periods of time for records review, when Veterans receive their “denials for previously submitted claims”, they now make a list of all PREVIOUSLY denied claims. (The Veteran will receive a notification of such and This DOES NOT apply to NEW claims submitted.)
They make appointments to go have them diagnosed by their primary care provider or a VA doctor. (These are NOT your C&P exams.)
There NOW exists “New and relative evidence” to support the previously denied claims.
Report back to SOS when self-scheduled exams are completed.
SOS will prep a new 0995 and maybe an additional 4142/4142a (If there are new locations of new exams for the new diagnoses.) and send these to the Veteran.
Veteran reviews the documents for accuracy, then signs and returns the 0995 and 4142/4142a, if prepped, to SOS.
SOS submits them.
